What is your primary job?
Hi! My name is Marcel and I have been with msg as a project manager since October 2020. My primary job is to manage IT projects (e.g., cloud migrations and software implementations) with a focus on the telecommunications industry. As part of that role, I am specifically responsible for planning and overseeing the individual activities performed by my team, while also monitoring deadlines and costs. My day-to-day work includes numerous coordination efforts with customers, as well as with other external service providers to ensure we achieve the results we want. Within my customer environment, I personally find the challenges of working in international and intercultural project teams particularly exciting.
What do you really appreciate about your work?
What I especially like about my work is the strong sense of collegiality and cohesion within my team, as well as the many challenges my colleagues and I face every day that allow us to grow. At msg, I have been given a lot of responsibility right from day one, as well as a lot of freedom in how I do my work. I have always had the opportunity to contribute my own ideas and approaches.
What personal items would we find on your desk?
I have always had a stock market bull on my desk. Numbers have fascinated me as long as I can remember, which is why I like to dabble in the financial market in my free time.

What is your primary job?
Hello, my name is Christina and I have worked at msg as a project manager since June 2020. My main job as a project manager is to ensure customer projects are successful. I am currently working with a cellular network provider on expanding their network. As part of that effort, I not only perform traditional PMO tasks within my own subproject, but also reporting and escalation work for the overall project. Furthermore, I am always available to the customer to offer advice on how they can improve their project management.
What is so unique about your team?
Even though our team has grown considerably since I joined msg and now has 20 members, I absolutely love the familiar atmosphere that has established itself here. We help one another and support each other and not just when there are problems or challenges, but in general to help one another advance and grow. I truly appreciate the fact that our team has many young people, but also more experienced colleagues as well and that both groups can benefit from one another. This versatility is considered valuable instead of problematic. In addition, our team has a relatively high number of women, which makes us a good example of diversity at msg.
Are there any sports you can’t live without now?
After discovering the joy of ballet for myself three years ago, I can no longer live without dance and I relish every hour of class. I am sure everyone is familiar with the typical stereotype of a ballerina, who can do the splits and dance on their toes. However, the sport is so much more than that. Besides muscles, coordination and endurance, you need to be able to concentrate and be disciplined. All of that actually helps me in my job too.

What is your primary job?
I am currently involved in two projects that are happening simultaneously:
- I am testing Java applications on Linux that were programmed by an external company. These Java applications will later be used by a major telecommunications provider to, for example, check customer Internet connections and identity problems and disruptions. I like using automated tests to do so, which can be created using Robot Framework.
- I configure and test Java software on Linux for a major telecommunications provider, who will use the software to authenticate and authorize millions of Internet users on landlines and cellular networks.
How did you end up at msg?
A few colleagues from my previous employer had switched to msg. I decided to as well at their recommendation.
What was your first computer and what operating system did it have?
A Commodore 64 with an internal operation system and a Datasette. The Datasette was used to import programs from music cassettes.
