Nuremberg:
Generating Code and Gingerbread

Since opening in 2013, msg’s office in Nuremberg has seen consistent growth, with a large number of new hires and low turnover. More than 50 employees now work at the Nuremberg location and we plan to keep on growing. With numerous interesting IT projects in the public sector that focus on “Work and Social Issues”, we assist customers in Nuremberg with their digital transformation. We are often involved in business-critical and complex projects, such as the development of a master data system.

Our consulting spectrum ranges from business analysis to implementation using innovative technologies, such as Angular, Docker and microservices, not to mention testing. In addition, we also support our customers with our project management expertise and with the implementation and application of approach models, such as Scrum and Kanban.

We especially appreciate the relaxed work environment at msg in Nuremberg and the good, respectful team spirit. Know-how transfer is very important here and is promoted through events such as “Learn & Lunch”, topic-based evenings or communities. Topics including “DevOps”, “Machine Learning”, “Robotic Process Automation” and “Agile Mindset” are among those presented and discussed at these events. We also organize a monthly team event, where we get together for something fun like laser tag or archery, and in the summer, we meet at our “city beach” lounge on a regular basis. In December we go to the Christmas market together and end the year with a festive holiday dinner. We enjoy spending time together all through the year and we always find a good excuse!

The msg office in Nuremberg is located in Südwestpark, a business park housing around 230 companies and 8,000 employees. Our office is easy to reach with public transportation or by car.

Although most of our work is performed at customer locations in Nuremberg, our offices are also well-equipped and can accommodate workshops, training courses and topic-specific or project work. Conference corners and a large conference room are available for meetings. A variety of to-go options and restaurants are located nearby for lunch, although we do prefer having lunch together in our office kitchen. With an automated coffee vending machine and a fruit basket, this is also the heart and center of our office days.

As the center of the European metropolitan area of Nuremberg, which itself has 3.5 million residents, the actual city of Nuremberg has 500,000 residents and offers an enviably high quality of life. IT and communication technology is a key industry in the region. msg Nuremberg works closely with the region’s different institutions of higher education on trade fairs, lectures and evens. The metropolitan region’s motto of “See it. Feel it. Stay.” thus holds true for msg’s location in Nuremberg as well.
